The "Wild Goose"
John Wayne's famous yacht
The beautiful new Lido House Hotel in Newport Beach commissioned us to build a full scale 5' model of John Wayne's famous yacht, the Wild Goose. The Wild Goose is still around today in Newport Beach - however the challenge was to build the model to reflect the way the boat was constructed when John Wayne owned it, not the way it is today for charters.
This made it a complicated, yet very special project for us and we are so proud of the end result. Going mostly off of family photos and old WWII destroyer hull drawings (with customizations of course), but we got the job done and are extremely happy with this piece of art.
